Cruelly is a four-piece grungegaze band from Pōneke, Aotearoa. Drawing from grunge, post-punk, and shoegaze, they build songs around woozy vocal melodies and molten, distortion-heavy riffs, with an emotional directness that keeps the dream from drifting too far.

Their 2024 debut EP Ugly Behaviour is a raw five-track statement about anger, power, and the cycles that are harder to break than they look. Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Haylee, with guitarist Sam, bassist Amber, and drummer Milan, Cruelly plays with unfiltered intent and a live reputation that backs it up.
