The Wake are a Scottish indie pop band formed in Glasgow in 1981. Initially, the band was composed of Gerard "Caesar" McInulty (formerly of Altered Images), Steven Allen, and Joe Donnelly, with Allen's sister, Carolyn, joining shortly after. The band's music incorporates elements of indie rock and shoegaze.
