Pearly* are an Ōtepoti/Dunedin, New Zealand alt-rock band blending sharp, guitar-led indie rock with melodic pop instincts, echoing both local heritage and ’80s/’90s noise-pop influences. Formed in 2023 by songwriters Joel Field and Phaedra Love with Ryan Hill and Josh Nicholls, they quickly made an impression through self-released recordings and high-energy live shows. Their 2025 Flying Nun debut Not So Sweet positions them as a standout new voice from the Dunedin scene.
