Minneapolis trio Blood Cookie delivers their fourth LP The World In Reverse!, a 15-track collection of dark, brooding indie rock mastered by Mikey Young. Trading off guitar, bass, and vocal duties democratically, Jordan, Tom, and Paul craft noisy instrumentals that blend early Sonic Youth textures with post-punk urgency and poppier sensibilities. Self-recorded and mixed with help from Howard Hamilton and Eric Elvindahl, this release showcases the band's evolution into a more general post-punk vibe—emphasizing bass-driven experimentation while maintaining the catchiness that defines their sound.
